The Best Bicycle Anti Theft Device Ever!

As a matter of strange coincidence, while on my way to work, I wa thinking about the time I caught a youngster in the act of stealing a seat bag that was on my Schwinn Le Tour IV ten speed while it was parked outside of the Baldori Brothers Arcade Downtown.

Fast forward 34 years and a co-worker presents me with this photo and question; "What do police officers use to lock up their bikes?" The answer to me seemed funny, but obvious. Why not lock up your bike with your handcuffs? Then again, what if a foot chase ensues and you make an arrest while your bike is locked up? The spare pair, of course!
