The Capital Area Humane Society moved to their home on West Grand River on the west side of Lansing in 1993. It was a great step up from their previous facility, but it's time again for the shelter to expand. That costs money and they're asking for our help.

The New Home New Hope campaign is underway. You can get more info here (and donate). They plan to create space to separate the sick animals from the healthy ones, create a cruelty free program and reduce the animals' stress level while they wait for their new homes.

Two years ago in June, Penny from CAHS came by the radio station with this teeny little kitten who snuggled into my neck. I had just decided to NOT get another cat. I caved and talked My Honey into bringing home 'Gigi' (Joey still makes fun of her name).
