The New Fate Of Tripper’s Site Announced

The Lansing City Pulse wrote an article that has told Lansing the fate of the former site of Tripper's Sports Bar in Frandor. And, unfortunately, an entertainment watering hole is not in the plans.

According to the City Pulse article, a national beauty store chain will move into the vacant site sometime in fall 2017. Ulta Beauty, a cosmetics retailer, is planning to open another location in Lansing, more centralized than their current stores in Okemos and Delta Township.

But, never fear fellow boozehounds!!! There is some great news for us in this City Pulse article! Remember the old L&L Food Center on Cedar Street in the Old Everett Neighborhood? It's about to become the most fantastic beer, wine, liquor, and party store inside the Lansing city limits! Mega-Bev will reportedly open up its first Lansing area location in May!

I had a chance to visit their Hastings location last month and was caught up in the store for an hour, simply in awe of the display after display of liquor, craft beer, wines, and other party novelties. This gives me a reason to revisit to share with you what we're in store for! That post is coming soon!
