Travel On I-96 To Brighton Area Will Be Delayed After Crash

FOX2Detroit.com reports that a semi was headed EB on I-96 around 4:30 yesterday afternoon when the load he was carrying didn't clear the Pleasant Valley Bridge overpass in Brighton. That meeting of metal and concrete demolished the overpass. MDOT says 'wrecked 'em, damn near killed 'em!'. No one was injured, but EB 96 will be down to one lane along that stretch until they can get the bridge rebuilt. D'oh!

The driver was cited for the incident.
