Two Shuttered Lansing Area Bars To Get New Lease On Life

We have seen a lot of Lansing bars and pubs close in recent months. But, the Lansing State Journal is reporting that two longtime area staples are getting new owners, a face lift, and complete overhaul.

According to the story, an ownership group that includes the owner of REO Town's Good Truckin' Diner has purchased Art's Bar on Kalamazoo Street in Lansing and The Barn in Grand Ledge. However, it won't be business as usual to former patrons. Both places will undergo massive overhauls to infrastructure, atmosphere, and menus.

Art's Bar will reopen as Art's Pub. The inside will be gutted, opened up, and a large patio will be added to the former parking lot. The Barn doesn't have a new name yet, but will. It, too, will have a patio added...and windows for light.
