Update: Identities Released in Lansing Murder-Suicide

Lansing Police report that 47 year old Derrick Smith and his 39 year old wife Adriann Smith were arguing in their south Lansing home on Marion Avenue around 8:30 yesterday morning; the argument led to the husband chasing his wife out of the house with a gun.

The chased ended on nearby Victor Street, where Derrick Smith shot Adriann Smith, then fatally shot himself.

The Lansing State Journal reports that a 47 year old man and a 39 year old woman are dead following a domestic situation that began in the home they shared on Marion Avenue. It appears that the dispute went outside; both were dead of apparent gunshot wounds on nearby Victor Avenue around 8:35 this morning.

Lansing Police are investigating.
