Utility Crews Will Release Natural Gas Today In Delhi Township

WILX.com reports that residents in Delhi Township may smell and hear a release of natural gas Thursday afternoon. But, there reportedly is no threat to the public.

According to the report, utility crews from Consumers Energy will perform a planned natural gas purge. The work is necessary for an ongoing construction project near the intersection of Holt Road and Cedar Street.

During the purge, residents in surrounding neighborhoods may hear or smell natural gas. But, Delhi Township Fire Department officials call the purge a routine procedure in a social media bulletin.
