Whether you're a Spartan fan or not, if you're from Lansing, you have to be proud to see such a quality kid make a quality life for himself, while doing it the right way. Lansing native, former MSU Basketball star, and current Chicago Bulls guard Denzel Valentine took time in between NBA Summer League play and his NBA Rookie Season to give back to the community in a big way.

WLNS.com captured footage of Valentine accompanying ten underprivileged Lansing kids for a shopping spree at a local Dick's Sporting Goods. The kids are a part of the Denzel Valentine Pro-Camp, sponsored by the sporting goods chain. Each of the ten campers received $100 in store merchandise.

And, judging by the footage WLNS caught of the shopping spree, a great time was had by all, including the superstar.
