The moon was so bright this morning and looked almost full, so I searched online for when it would be officially at 'perigree', which is 1:23 ET tomorrow morning. The big payoff for the search was seeing this illustration of the 'Full Beaver Moon', as depicted by the Old Farmer's Almanac.

"November’s full Moon was called the Beaver Moon by both the colonists and the Algonquin tribes because this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs."

 

Just a reminder that Daylight Savings Time ends at 2AM Sunday, so we'll fall back an hour.
