The grilling season opened in earnest on Monday with temperatures reaching almost 70 degrees! On the menu for the first bit of spring grilling was steaks from my Michigan elk and bear brats from my friend Brandan. We bartered a little elk for the bear. Kind of a wild game trade, if you will.

Normally we grill year 'round, but due to the heavy snows of the late winter, access to the grill was hampered a bit.

Now that we have a clear path and the snow has melted, it's time to get back to grilling on the deck and maybe having a few friends over to swap some more great wild game!
