West Michigan Woman Assaulted Man With Sailfish

Wood TV 8 reports that a 61 year Whitehall man was sketching a mounted Sailfish around 1:45AM this past Sunday morning, when his 58 year old girlfriend started arguing with him. She moved the fish, left the room (maybe slammed the door?), and the fish fell to the floor and busted apart.

She blamed him for the broken fish, whacked him on the head with the trophy and poked its bill at his hand, leaving a cut.

It does appear that they had both been drinking. Police were called, but the woman was not arrested at the time due to her 'medical condition'. Muskegon County authorities are reviewing the incident.
