When I was a junior in high school, I was running for Homecoming King. I was also the quarterback of the football team. The week of Homecoming, I didn't like the food the school was offering, so I went to the local 2Fer's for some pizza. When I walked in the store there was one of the teachers. I wasn't back at school 5 minutes before I was called to the office. The Principal asked if I went off campus for lunch and I said "yes, the food here sucks." Probably not the best thing to say to the man. He told me I would have to go to detention and he was "making an example of me." Due to the detention, my football coach informed me of the school rule: If you get detention, you can't start in the Homecoming game. Man, was I pissed. So was my dad. Needless to say, it was an embarrassing situation. Getting announced on the court in my clean football uniform, while we were getting our asses handed to us at Homecoming. I put one of those dark visors on my helmet so no one could see how pissed off I was. Needless to say, I didn't win king. It probably had more to do with me being a cocky jerk than the detention and benching. I also got in trouble in second grade and had to "put up against the wall" during recess for swearing.

Some things never change. What did you do to get sent to the principal's office? What did you get detention or suspended for?
