What Will Be Your Michigan Destination Location?

The first day of summer is June 21st. The kids are out of school and gas is near $4.00 a gallon! Now, with that being the grim reality of life, many will stay right here in Michigan to take their much needed vacations. Where (if at all) would be your dream destination in Michigan?

My heart is firmly planted in the UP! There's something about the simplicity of it all. Not having to prepay for gas. A friendly wave from a complete stranger on a two lane road. Or just the genuine nature of the people. "God help me, I do love it so!

Michigan's Upper Peninsula should be mandatory for everyone to see. The Yooper's may not agree. To some, were just a bunch of fudge suckers that leave their manners in what ever city under the bridge we came from. Frankly, I tend to agree. I'm not sure why some folks bring every amenity of home and forget common courtesy! But I digress. Vacation is a time for relaxation and to enjoy the best state in the country for natural resources and sheer beauty.
