Yankees to Honor Lou Gehrig Today

This Friday, Independence Day, it will be 75 years since Lou Gehrig gave his famous speech at Yankee Stadium, announcing that he had ALS.

MLB.com reports that the New York Yankees will commemorate that speech tonight and the entire league will pay homage before games on Friday.  Listen to that speech here and get the rest of the details on Major League Baseball’s campaign to raise awareness and money for the disease that took one of its best players.
