WILX.com reports that work on the US-127 sound wall project between Grand River Avenue and Lake Lansing Road has once again been put on hold. The project was supposed to have been completed in Fall 2016, but a myriad of issues have pushed back the timetable drastically.

The Michigan Department of Transportation has stated in the past that materials for the project have been tough to come by, forcing the delays so far. But, WILX is reporting that the original contractor hired to install the sound barriers has now hired a subcontractor out of Portland to complete the project.

There is no time frame for the project to resume, let alone be completed.
