3 Killed on Lansing’s West Side in 496 Wreck Last Night

WLNS TV 6 reports that a three-vehicle wreck last night just before 9:00 on I-496 between Waverly and Snow Roads shut down the highway while emergency crews responded.

One vehicle was transporting at least seven people and it does not appear that seat belts were being used.

Three people were killed in the crash; one person is reportedly still in critical condition and three other people involved are being treated for their injuries.

Identities of those involved are not yet being released by authorities.
