A 1979 Chevrolet Corvette is being returned to it's owner 33 years after it was stolen. The car was found in Mississippi, still runs and only had 47,000 miles on it. It was stolen from Jefferson Avenue in July of 1981. The owner, George Talley reported the theft to police but doubted he would ever see the car again. The 71 year-old retired from GM’s Milford Proving Grounds. He was watching "Matlock", "Lawrence Welk" or the "Judge Greg Mathis Show" when he got the call the car had been found and he could come pick it up in Hattiesburg, Miss. Thanks to the radio, he'll be getting the car back from Mississippi courtesy of General Motors. He'll be easy to spot on the road. The sweet 1979 Corvette with it's blinker on driving 45 on the expressway. I had to.
