7 Tips For Taking Care Of Your Fall Mums
As fall is officially underway here in Michigan, we start to see people get their autumnal displays ready featuring some of our favorite fall flowers like mums!
You've probably seen your big box stores, garden centers and local flower shops starting to sell mums and they are blooming beautifully this year.
One of the best things about mums is that they are not only extremely beautiful but they come in all kinds of wonderful "fall" colors, even bringing pinks and purples into the mix.
I, personally, have always admired mums and absolutely loved when my mom would get giant pots of them and decorate our porch with them in the fall. They just compliment pumpkins so well and have the most perfect "vibe."
This is my first year in a very long time having a nice home that I am completely free to decorate and show off my creativity and decorating style.
Yesterday, I realized the space by our front door steps needed a little something to fill it in so I found a cute little "Welcome" sign shaped like a pumpkin, some pretty purple and maroon mums and made set it all up with three bales of straw...which I just learned today is completely different from hay.
Now, this is my first time with mums of my own so I wanted to look into how to care for them the best I can and figured I can't be the only one!
So here are some tips on how to care for your mums and make sure they last all throughout fall.
