What is the Adult Halloween Parade?

The Adult Halloween parade is hosted in Downtown Douglas annually and draws thousands of spectators to the resort area of Saugatuck/Douglas. The free-wheeling nature of the community and its residents are on full display, and the organizers make it clear that this parade is for the grown-ups:

You'll want to leave the kids with the sitter, this party is an adult affair.

When is the Douglas Adult Halloween Parade?

The 2022 edition of the event is set for Saturday night, October 29th. Every year the 'Pumpkin King' rises 'from the ashes' to lead the parade through Downtown Douglas. Although the parade organizers say the parade is on no matter the weather, the 'Pumpkin King' may take a break from the harsher elements:

We parade in rain, sleet, snow or moon-shine so dress accordingly and get ready to have some fun! If the weather is wet or too windy, the Pumpkin King may have to sit it out so he doesn't get ruined.
