Airbag Recall Extended Yet Again, This Time By Mazda
WILX.com reports that the Takata Airbag recalls have grown again by an estimated 270,000 automobiles.
Mazda is the latest carmaker to expand a recall effort over faulty and potentially fatal airbag flaws. The automaker has added a slew of late model vehicles, including the Mazda6, Mazdaspeed6, and MPV models made anywhere in between 2003 and 2008.
It's reported that an estimated 50 million vehicles have already been recalled for faulty Takata airbags in recent years. There have been a total of 22 deaths and over 180 injuries in the United States due to the defect.
