Annie A Smash At Wharton Center

Yesterday morning, I had a chance encounter with the gentleman who is playing "Daddy Warbucks" in the production of "Annie" at the Wharton Center, this week. That chance encounter led to the opportunity to see the musical for the first time in my life!

I've never really been the type to jump right up and head off to a musical. Don't get me wrong, I've seen the Janis Joplin production at the Passant Theater a number of years ago and loved it!

Well, so goes the same for last nights production of "Annie!" I was amazed at the level of talent from the younger performers during numbers like "Hard Knock Life" and the others. But it wasn't until the final number that it hit me. There was an eerie resemblance between the star of the show and a photo of my girlfriend Sara, and a photo from her youth. Maybe I'm mistaken, but let me know what you think.
