This time of year is so exciting with the holidays straight ahead all the fun activities Lansing has to offer like Silver Bells In The City.  If you are like me you're getting ready for all the holiday lights, Christmas trees, Eggnog, and of course time out with family and friends.

The city of Lansing will explode with thousands of lights at the 37th annual Silver Bells in the City which of course we missed last year because of the pandemic.

Friday Holiday Fun in Downtown Lansing

This will be my first time at this festive event and I am looking forward to it. On Friday evening, downtown Lansing will be loaded with thousands of folks getting ready to get in the Christmas spirit with Silver Bells In The City.  So, according to fox47news.com Lansing police say they are ready to keep everyone safe and want everyone to have as much and fun as possible.

Lansing Police know that this day is kind of all hands on deck day,” said Lansing Police Chief Ellery Sosebee. So, between 25 and 30 officers will be on-site closely monitoring the event. We have to make sure we are able to handle the influx of people that are in our downtown area.

How Many Folks Will Be In Downtown Lansing Friday?

50,000 and 100,000 folks come to see all that Silver Bells has to offer like the parade and the lighting of the state Christmas tree.

Lansing Police are there many hours before all the fun starts including early in the morning Friday to sweep and with the K-9 unit.

Have a great time and enjoy yourself this weekend kids.
