The Associated Press reports that Federal crews found two Asian carp in the Illinois River, about twelve miles closer to Lake Michigan than the disruptive, invasive species was believed to have gotten.

Not only are these beasts voracious eaters, but they can knock out a grown man when they leap out of the water, which is what they do. There's great concern that the carp will destroy the fishing and pleasure boating on Michigan's waterways once they get here.
