Lansing Police are investigating the city's fifth homicide in 2017. According to the Lansing State Journal, 30-year old Willie Calvin Williamson was shot to death outside of McNamara's Party Store at the corner of Baker Street and Lyons Avenue Thursday night.

When police arrived, they found Williamson unresponsive and shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Apparently, Williamson was arguing with another man inside the store. The altercation moved outside when the shooting occurred.

Police think that Williamson knew his killer, who is described as a light-skinned black male, 25-40 years old with a thick moustache and wearing blue jeans.
