Billy Joel Announces First Michigan Show In 25 Years
It's been 25 years since Billy Joel has played a show in Michigan. In fact, he played the now imploded Pontiac Silverdome in 1994 with Elton John.
But, the piano man has decided it's time to visit the mitten once again. The huge news broke Thursday of a Billy Joel concert in summer 2020 in Detroit.
Billy Joel will be at Comerica Park on Friday, July 10. Ticket prices have not yet been announced. But, those tickets go on sale to the public Friday, November 15 at 10:00 AM.
There are some presale opportunities that begin Monday, November 11 at 10:00 AM for American Express Card Members.
Billy Joel stepped away from regular touring some time ago, only booking select remote dates, and monthly gatherings at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He has played Wrigley Field in Chicago, and other baseball parks in years past. Comerica Park will mark the latest performance in that trend. Joel will also play in June 2020 at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana.
