Body Parts Found In Grand River Last Month Identified
WLNS.com reports that officials in Ingham County have identified the human remains found in the Grand River last month in Aurelius Township.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office says that the remains are those of Leon Lockwood, an Eaton County man that has been missing since 2005. DNA testing confirmed the identity.
Apparently, this is not the first time that some of Lockwood's body parts have shown up in local rivers. In 2005, parts of him were found in two bags near Webberville along the Red Cedar River.
According to the report, authorities are still investigating Lockwood's murder.
