WILX.com reports that an intersection just north of Mason with a high volume of accidents is now a four-way stop.

The intersection of Howell Road and Okemos Road has historically been an intersection with a high volume of accidents, including a fatal accident in 2018. The Ingham County Road Department installed stop signs for northbound and southbound traffic on Okemos road last Friday, according to the report, in an effort to reduce dangers for motorists.

Expect to see an increased presence of Ingham County sheriff deputies at the intersection, too. Okemos road is a heavily traveled road, especially by drivers who have been used to the old traffic pattern for years.
