. And, you'll have some extra time to make those plans this year. After 20 delicious years, event organizers have decided to move the event from early summer to early fall. This year's fun will take place on Friday, October 7 at Adado Riverfront Park. The date change is an effort to get local college students and families more involved, according to organizers.

With the new date set for fall, it's fitting that organizers are going with a football theme they're billing as "Chili Bowl". So far, over 40 vendors have signed up to be a part of this year's festivities. Back again this year will be the chili dog eating contest, along with merchandise tents, live music, and of course, beer...plenty of beer to wash down the spicy goodness. As always, proceeds raised go to great community causes: Impression 5 Science Center, Sparrow Foundation, and the H.O.P.E. Scholarship Program.

By the way...I have my plans set!! I will be broadcasting live that afternoon from Riverfront Park. And, I will serve as your host and master of ceremonies through the evening! Even though there is a bit of a wait for the fun this year, it's sure to be well worth that wait. I look forward to seeing you there!
