The City of East Lansing officially announced that it is extending the closure of city offices and public facilities through May 15 at the earliest.

According to East Lansing's Nixle page, the city council will also consider extending the local state of emergency for the city on Thursday morning at 9:00 AM during an electronic meeting, which the public can access online.

Monday's announcement, though, does officially close facilities, including East Lansing City Hall, 54-B District Court, the East Lansing Department of Public Works building and drop-off sites, and East Lansing Public Library through at least May 15. The East Lansing Hannah Community Center and the Prime Time Seniors' Program will remain closed through at least May 31.

There are also extensions and other guidelines affecting yard waste and bulk item collection in the city, park facility closures, and permit restrictions. Those, and all other details, are available through this link to the City of East Lansing Nixle page.
