I have so many great memories of Michigan summers. My grandparents had a cottage in Buckley, Michigan. We would always have at least one weekend where we would go up and have a family weekend. We weren't the only ones, thousands of people flock up north every weekend of the summer to get the great lake escape.

We would always go to Traverse City for the Cherry Fest. Even now, if we aren't going to stay, I have to drive by the beach when we go to Traverse City. It brings up some powerful, positive memories.

So, Mlive did some flashing back with pictures at the majestic Michigan summer. Nostalgia keeps popping up as you imagine what it must have been like to live in that time. The Michigan summer. It's as beautiful then as it is now. Click here to see the pics.
