I don't know about you, but I really enjoy going places where you can take a cocktail and then run out with it into the street.

Wait...

Running out into the street with a cocktail isn't a good idea. That's not what I'm saying. What I mean is that I enjoy going places where they let you take your cocktail with you and walk around, legally. Like you don't have to hide it in a YETI and sneak it around like some people do when they go watch their kids play Summer sports.

I'm looking at you ______________.

I know a couple of people who just broke out into a cold sweat reading that previous line...

Anyway back to the cocktails to go thing. They are coming to Michigan!

That's right my friend. According to News 10, a bill that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is expected to sign was approved by the legislature earlier today that would allow you to order cocktails that you could carry out or that could be delivered to you from restaurants and bars, where you may know that you can get unopened beer and wine to go already.

Now I don't believe you can just go in somewhere and grab a cocktail and then hit the streets like you're on vacation, but if you're hankering for your favorite specialty drink from your favorite restaurant and you don't feel like hanging out, cocktails-to-go could be your friend in the near future in Michigan.

There's also other parts to this new bill. Get all the info here from News 10.
