Could a delicious and beloved Lansing restaurant be returning after its closure?

Mr. Corned Beef in Lansing

There have been some rumblings that Mr. Corned Beef in Lansing has plans to reopen. I first heard these rumblings on, where else, the Lansing Foodies Facebook page. Someone had posted that there's a written sign stating that they plan to reopen and that they are looking to hire.

Sadly, Lansing had to say goodbye to Mr. Corned Beef back in early August of this year (2022). The Facebook page for Mr. Corned Beef had them listed as permanently closed, and there were "closed" signs all over the front of the store.

Needing to know a bit more information, or at least see the storefront myself, I drove out to Frandor to find out more specifically what might be going on. Here's what I found when I got there.

The short answer...yes. It appears that Mr. Corned Beef in Lansing will be reopening soon, as the handwritten sign on the door states. It might be a little hard to read in the picture, but I can promise that's what it says.

Not to mention a couple of signs that indicate that they're hiring.

It's so wonderful to see a local place open up its doors again. I know that so many locals expressed disappointment when they heard that Mr. Corned Beef was closing. The portions were huge, the quality was amazing, and the service was great. We wish them nothing but the best for the future!
