Diocese of Lansing Cancels All Public Masses
WILX.com reports that the Diocese of Lansing has canceled public mass for the time being due to the spread of coronavirus.
Effective immediately, the diocese will cease public masses at its 73 parishes, following federal government recommendations on public gathering. With the recommendation of gatherings limited at 10 persons, private ceremonies, including weddings, funerals, and baptisms may continue, but only with immediate family members in attendance. Parishes and churches will remain open for private prayer.
The cancellation is expected to remain in place until at least April 8.
