Dogs May Soon Be Allowed on Michigan Restaurant Patios

In an overwhelming majority, the Michigan Senate voted yesterday in favor of allowing dogs, not just service dogs, to hang out on restaurant patios. The Lansing State Journal reports that among the provisions of the legislation is a requirement that employees who pet dogs wash their hands before delivering food or beverage to customers. The bill now heads to the State House for approval.
