A friend of mine told me he was on his way to work yesterday morning and MSP had a bunch of people pulled over on I-94. And now we know why. The crackdown on speeding and aggressive driving (especially around big rigs) is already underway.

The Michigan Safety Truck Commission said that over the past five years there has been a spike in crashes between commercial truck drivers and passenger vehicles.

Michigan State Police will be enforcing a new campaign called, Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks or TACT.

The campaign will focus on aggressive driving by passenger vehicle and commercial drivers along I-94 between Jackson and Taylor, a busy corridor. (WILX)

There's a billboard campaign along the highway, via social media, and on radio station.

The enforcement will be happening from Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

It'll start back up again June 10 to the 14.

But it looks like they might be getting started a little earlier. Drive carefully folks.

You have been warned.
