There was an incredible act of heroism on the part of two Eaton County Animal Control Officers Tuesday morning.

The Facebook page of the Eaton County Sheriff's Office posted a picture of an injured or sick bald eagle that was rescued by the officers in a rural area on North Gunnell Road, southeast of Potterville.

Typically, Eaton County Animal Control officers do not handle wild animal calls. But, Officers Neal and Grinold stepped up to be big heroes in this case. There isn't any information about the raptor's current condition or ailment. But, the eagle has been delivered to a local facility for rehabilitation.

Here is the original Facebook post from Eaton County Sheriff's Office.
