If you decided not to tune into the Lions game yesterday, no one really would blame you. Going into pre-game, Detroit was a two-touchdown underdog. However, a different team took the field Sunday. The Lions pulled out the 30-12 upset of the Arizona Cardinals.

Lions fans have to feel ecstatic because by far this was their best game of the year. The defense frustrated Kyler Murray. Offensively they were also clicking as Jared Goff threw three touchdowns. The win did come with a price, however.

The win cost the Lions the number one overall pick. The pick now belongs to Jacksonville, and the Lions are the number two pick. There are still three games left, but this win may have cost them a player like Aidan Hutchinson. On the bright side, the Lions are sitting at the number two spot. Unless they win out, which, let's be honest, does anyone think that will happen? The Lions are a surefire top-five draft spot and will hopefully get a game-changer.

Unless the Jaguars pass on Hutchinson, the Lions will be presented with perhaps a tough choice. There is fellow edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux from Oregon who is expected to be just as big of an impact player as Hutchinson. Or, do the Lions get their QB of the future? Kenny Pickett is the top-rated quarterback of this draft and has been compared to Johnny Manziel without the drama.

Even with Pickett sitting there, this year's draft has nowhere near the quarterback talent as last year. In addition to that, the Lions need defensive help. It may be worth waiting for a QB till 2023, with players like Bryce Young who just won the Heisman Trophy. Or C.J. Stroud, who was also a finalist. Asking Lions fans to wait one more year may not go over well, though. That being said, there are some big names on the defensive side of the ball you may not be able to pass on. It is a massive rebuild, and fans do understand that. However, patience is more than likely wearing thin. If they can build momentum off this performance, that may buy them time to wait on the right QB. Which may be Pickett or maybe it could be Young.

Hutchinson felt like such a no-brainer, even with the dire need for a quarterback. The Lions may have won the game, but they lost everywhere else.

You Think This Year's Team Is Bad? These Past Detroit Lions Teams Didn't Do Too Hot Either

Ah, our good old Lions. Most Michiganders know only the love-hate relationship that we share with the team. I mean, how could you not love the hapless Lions? They're our home team. With that being said though, they've had a win-less season before, which stings. Check out some not-so-good past years for the Detroit Lions.
