Events That Were Supposed To Take Place This Weekend in Lansing
The weather is supposed to be awesome this weekend (sunny and 65) and it would've been a perfect weekend to grab a cold beer at Cooley Law School Stadium for Beerfest at the Ballpark. It also would've been the perfect weather to enjoy a margarita or two at Margarita Fest 2020 that was supposed to take place at the Lansing Center. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BOTH of those events will NOT be happening this weekend.
This year's Margarita Fest has been cancelled and as their website says they'll "see you in 2021". However, there is some good news because at this point, Beerfest at the Ballpark has only been postponed and is now scheduled for October 24th, 2020. (And knowing our luck, it'll be raining and 30 degrees that day, but whatever...) You can keep up to date with what's happening with Beerfest at the Ballpark by clicking here.
Another fun event that was supposed to happen this weekend was the Hawk Island Triathlon. That event has also been canceled for 2020 and will now be held on June 5th and June 6th, 2021. By the way, they are still going to try and hold the fall Kids Triathlon at Hawk Island on September 12th, 2020. You can find out more here.
Do try and get out and enjoy the nice weather this weekend. Maybe you can have your own personal Margarita Fest or Beerfest in your backyard. (Just be safe.) Or, perhaps you can run your own personal triathlon this weekend. (Or just tell everyone you did...) :)
