Fatal Wreck Closes EB 96 Between Williamston & Webberville

EB I-96 between Williamston and Webberville in Leroy Township is expected to be shut down for a couple of hours after a fatal wreck just before 8:00 this morning.

WILX TV 10 reports that the Ingham County Sheriff's Department says one person died when a car traveling westbound on I-96 was struck from behind, which propelled that vehicle into the eastbound lanes of traffic on I-96. A pick-up truck pulling a horse trailer was involved in the crash as well.

Traffic is significantly delayed in both directions and vehicles are being routed off the highway at MM 120.
