Coffee truly makes the world go 'round...without it, there would be a lot of really tired, extremely grumpy people walking about just half-attempting to function.

Sure, coffee is naturally a diuretic. It's "nature's laxative" as Joey put it. However, is a healthy colon really that bad of a trade-off when you can get that delicious, hot, brown bean water that tastes like chocolate but gets you up and going?

I am a self-proclaimed coffee nut and I really make no apologies for it. I'm a caffeine addict and I know it all started when I started drinking coffee at 11 years old, taking a travel mug to school with me in the sixth grade.

One of my favorite things to do whenever I am in a new place is to see what their coffee scene is all about or at least try a local favorite spot!

Back in January, I spent an entire week here in Lansing exploring some of the best coffee spots and some of them became favorites! It was definitely worth the stomachache I had by that Friday.

My friends, luckily, join me in my coffee craziness and have also shown me some of my favorite spots and the memories we've shared there are probably part of the reason(s) those places have become a favorite.

Without further adieu, here are some of my favorite places to grab a fantastic "cup o' joe" around Michigan:
