Fiction Becomes Reality: Michigan Man Pleads Guilty in Can Scam

I was a huge fan of Seinfeld and I remember this episode.

Well, it happened in reality and a man just plead guilty and will have to pay a $400,000 in restitution! He was getting bottles from Indiana and returning them in Michigan for the 10 cent deposit.

For a fine that huge, he must have made a mint. John Custer Woodfill of Flint will be sentenced on May 2. The honorable Judge Art Vandelay will be presiding. (Not really, that is another dated Seinfeld reference)
