“Fido” Will Love Dining With You In Lansing
My family and I recently adopted our new four legged family member from the Capital Area Humane Society. Our dog's name is "Oliver" and he is a 2 1/2 year old Australian Shepard and as soon as he hopped in the truck to head to his new home with us, he melted into our family like he's been a part of it for years.
One thing that I was looking forward to doing this time around with our dog is taking him just about anywhere he can go with us. My previous dog was awesome however he didn't get out and travel much. One of the first places I took "Oliver" was Lowe's. They are a dog friendly retailer in the area. If you like to take your dog out with you and want to find businesses that are welcoming to dogs in Michigan, check these locations out.
Almost immediately I discovered that when our dog goes to Lowes with me, the shopping trip will take a lot longer because other "shoppers" want to pet him. I should've known because I like petting dogs when they are in stores too. It's been a fun experience and thankfully our dog is very social. If there was ever a dog that is an extrovert, Oliver takes the cake.
Dining with your dog is a completely different story. It's not sanitary for you and your dog to dine inside a restaurant. When it comes to patios and outdoor seating you're in luck. Here are some Lansing area restaurants that are dog friendly, according to yelp.
