Outer space. That's where (at least according to one theory) the coronavirus came from - outer space. Riding a blazing fireball that crashed into Earth. And the scientist who came up with this theory knows exactly when and where it happened.

According to the website okwhatever.org, (one of my favorites, BTW), Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology, says a meteor, seen lighting up the sky in northeast China last October 11th, at 12:16 a.m, was carrying viral DNA. When it came in contact with Earth, the material was picked up by microscopic organisms and spread as the coronavirus.

Dr. Wickramasinghe isn't some nut - he's a respected Cambridge-educated, British scientist. He strongly believes that much of life on Earth has been influenced by organic material that arrived here via comets and meteors. A theory called panspermia. (Admittedly, some scientists have a problem with this theory)

Of course, if we had a piece of that Chinese meteor, we could test it and be sure, but nobody has found the crash site yet.

So, who knows what mutated monsters are out there. You may not like the new, angrier panda bears.
