Ford Recalls Affect 440,000 Vehicles

WILX.com reports that Ford Motor Company is issuing two recalls that will affect a combined 440,000 vehicles.

One recall is for an engine fire risk on more than 230,000 Fords built between 2013 and 2015. If your Ford Escape, Fusion, Fiesta ST, or Transit Connect has a 1.6-Liter turbocharged engine, you should watch your temperature gauge. The engines can overheat, crack cylinders, leak oil and catch fire. Ford has 27 reports of this incident, no injuries.

Another recall, due to faulty door latches, affects 211,000 Fords: 2014 Fiestas and 2013 or 2014 Fusions and Lincoln MKZ's.
