It looks like 2016 is going to be a special year for rock concerts. Numerous classic rock acts will be bringing their acts to Michigan this summer. As venues like DTE Energy Music Theater, Meadow Brook Amphitheater, Soaring Eagle Casino, and Freedom Hill Amphitheater fill out their schedules, the often forgotten Frederik Meijer Gardens venue has released their slate of summer shows. Frankly, there are quite a few that excite me, too!

80's pop rock act Tears For Fears kicks off the season on June 6. Fans will also have a chance to spend An Evening With The Monkees on June 8. America, Ziggy Marley, Grace Potter, The Goo Goo Dolls, Diana Ross, and Lyle Lovett and his Large Band are also in the lineup. But, here are some of the big classic rock names that have my interest peaked: Tedeschi-Trucks Band on June 17, Jackson Browne June 27, Gregg Allman June 29, Toto August 14, The Beach Boys August 21, and Bonnie Raitt August 31.
