Summer is coming to an end in Michigan. Lake Lansing is keeping the summer spirit alive. Head out to Lake Lansing Park South for the Lake Lansing Bandshell Summer Concert Series, Sounds of Summer, this Friday night.

This event is free and that includes parking and entry to the county park. The Sounds of Summer concert series has been going on every Friday night from 7p - 9p, all summer long. This Friday is the final night for your chance to come out to enjoy some free live music, tasty food vendors and to dance with your better half at the Lake Lansing Bandshell.

Ingham describes the summer concert series:

Every Friday night beginning June 2nd, through August 25th from 7pm-9pm we are holding a concert free to the public on park grounds! Located at Lake Lansing Park - South.

Aside from the music, we also have great activities for the younger members of the audience including inflatables, a trike track, playground in the park, as well as a 50/50 raffle. We are also expecting to have food trucks on certain nights.

I've had the pleasure and honor to emcee one night over the past two seasons and I look forward to seeing you this Friday night when local, classic rockers "Showdown" jam some tunes. There's plenty of food options and the chance at winning the 50/50 is enticing.

It's definitely a family oriented gathering so bring the kids and grandkids to show them how awesome you were on the dance floor. Maybe you've still got your skills and you can school the crowd.
