Gallery: The Top 11 Things We Go To QD For
In Michigan we have the "party store" and then we have QD. The one, the only, Quality Dairy. Or as the sign above says Quality Dairy Co. "Food Stores".
Now while it might share some similarities to a party store (and some locations in some neighborhoods it's really close), QD stands out and stands alone.
It's legendary in Lansing.
Quality Dairy Company was founded in March 1936 by Gregory J. Martin and Harvey Mack. The first store was located at 1406 South Washington Avenue. At the time, milk was most commonly obtained by home delivery & was seven cents a quart. (Quality Dairy)

And while "dairy" is still in thier name, QD is known for so much more.

Not making the list and honestly I've never see anyone eat it but there's always a slice or two missing: the QD pizza. Or any of the roller food. Is it just me? Who eat's that?
