WILX.com reports that General Motors has made a major announcement about one of its Lansing production plants.

The Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant  will soon begin producing the next Cadillac model, expected to compete with some of the world's most high end production luxury sedans.

The Cadillac CT5 iwill be on show room floors for the 2020 model season, built right here in the Capital City. The luxury sedan will feature a turbocharged engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission, made to compete with the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedans.

This new model replaces the CTS and ATS sedans currently being made at LGR. The plant will continue to produce the Chevrolet Camaro sports car as well.
