The Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame announced on Sunday night that the annual induction dinner at the Lansing Center has been postponed until 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It was set for July 30th, and one of the honorees is WVFN's very own David "Mad Dog" DeMarco.  He, along with all the 2020 inductees will be put in next year.

Here's Bob Every, executive director of the Hall of Fame:

Due to everything that’s going on around us with the coronavirus and everything else and all the buildings being shut down and no real guarantee of when they’re going to open up and having to keep everybody on the string, we thought it would just be best to cancel for 2020, That class will now move to 2021 and we will not select another class this particular year.

The Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame has been in existence since 1976.  This is the first year that there will be no induction ceremonies.
