Did you work construction and are now not working because the COVID-19 pandemic has shut your job down? Well this is possibly some good news that could affect you.

According to News 10, Governor Gretchen Whitmer says that construction work may be starting again soon in Michigan. Republicans have been asking Whitmer to allow this to happen.

Of course these plans would depend greatly on COVID-19 hospital stays declining and if there is an increase in testing. It is thought that construction and other outdoor businesses could be considered the next "low risk" jobs to be considered for re-opening.

In March, Michigan had around 180,000 workers in construction. While nobody is sure about how many people lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the estimation is about 80% of construction work has been affected.
